I just built one that should make 25hp, pull start, and run on 91 pump gas.

My other .080" motor makes about 20hp, and it also pull starts, and runs on 91 octane pump gas. Both motors are around 10.1 static compression.

Hey Charles,

It was good talking to you yesterday. Could you put together a parts list of what I'll need to make 20HP. I'll have you do the assembly. Thanks.

I think its important to remember that there is no free ride.

An engine that makes more power will have a shorter life than a weaker one.

The quest to make more power makes for engines that are peakier and less user friendly. The range where this power comes on is higher up in the rpm range is what I am saying.

YES you can make a lot of power on gas or methanol but is it power you can use?
Drag bike and fun bike are not the same thing.

A bigger engine might make more sence in some cases.

The Champion rockers are stock ratio. I just changed the cam in my gasser to a .370" cam. It has picked up even more TQ and HP. It still pull starts easy, and runs all day long.

Yes welded regrind stock cam.

Will a bigger cam kill your low end?I have a mod 6.5 clone with a 14cc head mill 80 thousand but small stainless valves. It has a NR-252-0607 cam thats good to 7000 rpm and will go to 7100rpm and no more.I race 1/8 mile and its running out of rpm about 30 yards before the finish line,I dont want to change the gearing because I like the take off.How much bigger can I go in a cam with small valves and should I go with a short or small circle track cam that is good for more higher RPM ,because was told that they have good low end tork to or just a bigger cam with more lift and duration:shrug:
