My bike stand

#1
I decided that I'd make a stand for working on my mini bike
I got some epoxy chip board (thanks Dad) which looks more like a hard plastic for the top which I haven't cut up yet

Why not get something like the Black and Decker Workmate. When you are done with it just fold it up out of the way. The better ones are rated at 450 lbs capacity.

Tailgate of my pickup works great and a couple of 4x4 blocks of wood. I have saw horses and a piece of plywood if it gets serious.

Holds that Deckson Daredevil just fine, looks good buddy. I made one from angle iron and put a rail on it, it has an engine mount in one corner and it has wheels to roll it around. Can even roll it with a bike if it's strapped down. It does take up space however, luckily I have an abundance of that.:doah:

The main prob. is most stands will tip when you remove the forks and front wheel assembly. or the rear wheel. I use a milk crate and sit on the ground. some day I will build the ultimate stand to assemble a bike from frame to complete bike with no fear of it falling.

I wish I could find a stand like that that is almost as low as the floor. That way I could roll my minis on it and put them on the shelf where they go when they have been bad, or I am just riding another one and want to store it. I have three of those industrial strength restaurant shelf units. Finding one cheap enough is the problem.

Hey guys I bought it a PrincessAuto here in canada but your guys harbour freight might sell them it is made in china and called a dirt bike lift.
It comes with a hold down kit but it looked kind of cheap so I would use a couple of ratchet straps if I was doing any serious work with it elevated.
