My start of mini bike build

Todays progress, welding in rear axle mounts. Small tire used for mockup, need to do all final welding yet.

Hope to get all the frame welding done tomorrow, Clean up the welds and start priming the frame with etch primer. Need to decide on paint color yet.

Its great to see people having a go at building these things.

I'm a little worried about the quality of your bends and welding though, I hope its just the pictures making it look that way.

Thanks guys, been welding all day . It may look like welds are not good, camera does not show the quality and depth of welds. I have been welding for over 15years. The tube bending was little bit fun but turned out good.

my weld pics look like poop, but in person, look good and have held up with no breaks.

Been fabricating the tees and handlebars, getting it all setup for welding.

Still working on tree area and tube, did some measuring and need to do some extra fabrication on trees to make a little wider. Not enough space between tubes for 6" tires, need roughly 5 inches between tubes.

Cleaning up tree welds and getting frame all ready for primer and paint. Thinking a nice blue, I have 3 spray cans left over from other builds.

Todays progress, welds all ground down nice. Three coats of etching primer and two coats of blue so far, one or two coats of blue to do yet.
