Need some advice on a 2 speed clutch.....

Maybe a dumb question.....Ill be looking for a Tecumseh engine for a 2 speed mini. I know that the clutch will be secured with a bolt thru the clutch, into the shaft. Does the shaft of the engine have to be a certain length.

An standard 2-1/4" crankshaft can accommodate a 2 speed clutch. they're only about 1/4" wider than a standard clutch

what kind of 2 speed? Fairbanks/colt for instance were very wide assemblies, and still needed a spacer added on a 3" shaft! Those are usually only found on the Fox bikes but I think they did offer a bolt on kit but would be a rarity.
