Predator Gas Cap won't clear frame? Here's the fix

You can reduce the height of the gas tank cap on the Predator 212 but taking the cap apart and cutting the white plastic underneath flush with the top of the metal. I have the new Predator 212 CA version with screw in cap. Undo the chain that connects to the screen filter and turn cap upside down. Take a straight edge screwdriver and carefully pry off the black cap cover. You will find a white plastic double ring. Cut the white plastic down to the existing metal on the top of the cap. You now have reduced the height of the cap so that it will clear the top bars of the frame. I saw this on a video from a guy in New Zealand. You can use the cap from oe db motor(97cc) Its about half the thickness. I think OldMiniBikes sells them in Baja mini parts section.
