shafts for jackshaft builds, need advice and help

#1
been surfing for a few days now,and cannot find what i need.
found everything from 4.5 to 18 inches long but never right config.

is there such a thing as a 5/8 width -5 inch long shaft with threads on both ends?
where can i buy them?

im at the point where im thinking about buying a threaded 10 inch and just chopping it in half,
and using a set screw lock collar but im Very unsure if it will hold everything together.
8hp motor fat tired rear, trying to get to a 5 inch shaft with threads on both ends.

also, has anyone ever taken apart their new Tav and looked inside the casting where the back driver goes
and noted the machine work??
they arent bored square it looks like.:hammer:

Never mind.
Jacks small engines has a 5 inch threaded both ends and keyed.
Site won't let me link.

Either I am real confused on what you are looking for or...I found several.
5 inch long, threaded at both ends and keyed.

Machine shop.

You can screw around with speedy shaft or you can get one made.
I prefer made then I know it will not fail when I need it.
