Tap to chase threads on Rupp OEM Shocks

anyone know what it would be? I bought replacement nylon bushings. They seem to have a thread OD of 1.020 ".....but a pitch of 1.0 mm

I'm no expert but I will try to help.

Rupp threads are likely to be English, not metric unless they used imported shocks ..

Its either English fine thread 1-14
or
Metric 25x1

Go to a hardware store with your part in hand ... they should be able to set you straight.

problem solved.......a 1" diameter brass brush and a dentle pick....the powder coat guy was careless and covered the threads. It was tough, a tap would be easier but I would have had too buy one.
