What is the length, thread size per inch, hex head wrench size, of the doodle bug 2.8HP engine? SAE-Metric? How long? What size wrench? Stock size?

Metric thread pitch isn't measured in TPI. The distance in MMs from the point of one thread to the point of the next is the pitch. They're most likely 8 X 1.0 or 8 X 1.5 threads. Not sure on the length, but that would be measured in MMs also. 1" = 25.4 MM.

simple

if you got a drill gauge .
your bolt will fit in the 5/16 hole
and the mm size for that would be 7.937 with your 12mm head
or change it to a different type head.
motorcycle shop or hardware store will help you out.
the mm length is more then likely 24.606 just under an ''

the mounting bolts in the stock 2.8hp engine are 10mm hex head flange bolts. M8 x 1.25 x 25

mine are stock 12mm

mine are stock 12mm hex head .
i have two of the mini bikes .
with the 2.8 motors.
i removed one motor a few day ago
and that is what i took off it .
hadnt had time to check the other one out .
maybe its got a 10 mm head.
then again someone might have
tapd new threads and used different bolts.
no big deal as long as the threads are correct.
go with it.
