Tire and Wheel Sizes

#1
I have a Bird Wren frame and the space between the axle tabs is approx. 5 3/8" and the tab is drilled out to 5/8" for the axle. What would be the maximum size wheel/tire/sprocket size I can use and to replace the scuff brake would I be better with a band style or disc style brake? I'm also a little confused to whether I should use a 5" or 6" wheel and tire combo, I'm 250 lbs. so I'm thinking bigger is better...

I'd keep the scrub brake and add a band brake on the clutch that way you have a back-up if you happen to throw a chain , Not sure of wheel size on a Wren , probably 5" , 6" however is much better but it may cost you the scrub brake , sprocket size will be determined by your engine power and type of riding you'll be doing ?

the 212 is a serious power plant for those small bikes , I would not gear any less than 12/60 or even 13/60 if you want to keep the front wheel on the ground !
