torque-a-verter question

I'm running a torque-a-verter on my HF 6.5 clone. I'm having some problems with erratic/jerky engagement and the driver pulley is getting pretty hot. I'm pretty sure it needs cleaned and lubricated. I'm going to order some of the comet torque converter dry lubricant. My question is...Is there anything I can used to lubricate it until I get the comet stuff? I really want to be able to ride this weekend.

Make sure the belt is not too tight, or too loose.

and make sure its in balance and you have your TAV on flush all the way.. Mine was vibrating just a little bit and i checked it and it turned out that the bolt had loosened just a tiny bit and threw it off balance.
