Western Flyer Identify

I'm trying to find out for sure that my Western Flyer is a SS300? Someone told me it was, but mine don't have the plate on the front. Also, can someone tell me what Year this was made? Thanks, I appreciate it very much. :thumbsup: :biggrin:

If it doesn't have the plate, it would be a MTD equivalent Trail Flight 300. Came with a H30 Tecumseh. The tag was on the little bracket that attaches the rear fender to the back of the engine plate.

ezdoesit,my guess would be very late 60's to early 70's. all the Western Flyers that i have seen posted have had the first version throttle units mounted on the engines that where use in them years.

also thought the engines where 3.5 hp tecumsehs.

theres a guy with a thread right now called "The New Guy And My Two Bikes". His frame looks like the same as yours. the wheels may be a little different, but the frame is almost exact. He said he had it since he was a kid so he should know what the bike is!
