Hi Mike,

I just ran across your post. I have a '65 55 I'm turning into a '63 to match the one I had when I was a kid. If you've seen the video of the kid(and my dad) on the gold Taco running around, that's me. I have everything for my build except the tank like you're looking for. Did you get the one on here that sold two days ago? I was second in line so missed it. I have an original 12" tank that came with my '65, but need the short one for the duplication of my original. I did just get a 10" one off eBay that I'm going to shorten.

The chain guard that came on the 580 was the Palmini P-30. I have a repop one and just sold an NOS one. Jack Murray just made some more repops, but he put them on eBay so they may be all gone. His e-mail is jjmurray1@cox.net .

>> Air filter with single screw OR double clip type for WB 580 5 port engine.

Very hard to find, but they do show up on eBay. A few months ago I bought two NOS ones on eBay but sold the second one already.

>>Sheetmetel muffler for WB 580 5 port engine.

You need to watch eBay for those too. I found an NOS one there too. You have to have saved searches and look everyday.

>>8) Mercury clutch for 9/16" shaft.

Still want that myself, but for that I'll settle for a new clutch if I have to that looks the same from the outside.

>>Top tubular engine brace that attaches to top swing arm pivot bolt and extends angling downward to air shroud mounting bolt.

I have one and can take pictures and dimensions for you if you want....but I do not know what engine was on my bike originally so I don't know yet whether it's right for a 580 or not.

>> to gearing ratio

I have the original sprockets so I can give you that. I do not know the engine sprocket for sure, but I would have been a 9, 10, or 11T.

>>and any photos from catalogs.

I have a lot of pictures I can send if you send me your e-mail address.
