I have a HS40 motor that has a little tiny spring push type button on the bottom of carb bowl. At first I thought it was a primer type button. However, when you push it gas flows out. So maybe it is there just to empty the gas from bowl when tank is shut off.
Regardless, I thought I read on...
Are those older Tillotson glass fuel bowls, usually found on 8 HP horizontal Briggs, suppose to have a fuel filter in them?
The bowl seems mighty big for just a sight glass. Even NOS ones just don't seem to have a filter in them. I would have figured they would have originally had...
Hey Fellas, I am especially excited to watch the Super Bowl this year since my team, the 49ers are playing! Who's going to win it. Predictions?
49ers 31, Ravens 27
I have a tecumseh power sport H35 engine on my manco thunderbird minibike that i was trying to drain the carb float bowl to get all the left over old gas out. I assemble it back and tighten the float bowl bolt back on to the carb, I filled up it up with new gas and i notice that it was leaking...
Its weird Im getting fuel up to the petcock valve but not inside the bowl. When I separate the bowl from the other half of the carb with the fuel lines still attached I can get fuel coming out of that hole when I open the valve , but once I put the bowl back on ,no fuel is present in bowl. I...
Hey guys! I'm here from PocketBikePlanet! I'm new to this site here but I've been working on a x-18 bike i bought off of craigslist. I've gotten pretty far but the folks on PocketBikePlanet must have either lost their passion of these motors or just tired of asking questions. I've done some...
I have a 2011 MB200 Baja and went to install a high flow filter and rejet my carb today. When I went to remove the bowl to swap out the jets I notice that the bowl appears to be riveted on. Has anyone ever seen this before? My other Mini Baja has a normal bolt holding the bowl on. Is there any...
Looking for help as to what is causing this and how to correct it...
The carb has a leak at the mixture adjustment screw on the bottom of the bowl. It is a VERY slow leak, more like a seepage, really. To be clear, it is NOT coming from the nut/gasket at the bottom of the float bowl. It is...
I have a 2 yr old Tec OHH60 6 HP "Powersport" that has "166" stamped on the bottom of the float bowl nut. Can somebody tell me what that means? Is that the size of the main jet orifice? I have a high-flow K & N air filter installed on the carb. What size should the main jet...
Curious as to how well the Tec bowl carb will run on a slanted Rupp motor mount without the slanted intake manifold. Have a line on a newer (95) H35 I thought I may use on a Sprint. Any experience running a Tec motor slanted without the slanted manifold?
Thanks,
furyus
I recently loosened the float bowl on my Subaru EX17 to drain the gas and it's been leaking ever since I put it back on. I tried tightening the screw, but it will only get tight until a certain point and then get loose again. What do I do?
Thanks!
This has not been discussed. Who shuts off the petcock runs the motor and drains the float bowl to keep fuel from sitting in the carb?
I do know it creates a lean condition. Who does it anyway?
TT Out! :gun_bandana:
I know alittle about the carb and it possible could be that the float is not seating the valve. IM going to try and blow in the gas intake when the float is in the up right postion. Will this be a good way to see if the valve is closing properly? could I bend the floats down a bit to close valve...
