Rattle can painting and clear coat.

I am a fan of Rustoleum. My question is there seems to be two types of primer. Etching and the other. 1) Does it matter which to use on a bead blasted frame? I have seen paint wrinkle up when clearcoat is applied. 2) was the paint just not dry or was there a "reaction"

Thoughts on clear coat on a survivor?

I picked up this old Trail Horse. All original. She had lots of rust. Cleaned her up as good as I could. Some spots, the rust ate through the paint. My question?? I have cleaned it more since this photo. But, you get the idea. Is it a disservice to clear it to maintain what is left or just...

    1993 Honda CT70, clear title.

We have had this minibike in the family for around a decade or more, and it has been in storage inside a shed or garage for the majority of that time. Since we’ve had it, we have occasionally started it up and drove it around a little at our family cabin, and my dad has taken it with him on RV...

What clear coat are you guys (and girls) using on aluminum wheels?

I tried Duplicolor clear wheel paint, but it leaves a thick, glossy finish. I just want to seal and preserve the finish, not add to it. :scooter:

    Rattle can clear coat?

View image in gallery Is anyone familiar with this clear? I bought it at Lowes. None of the auto parts stores around me had a flat or satin clear. Lowes had a Valspar indoor/outdoor or this. They told me this would be stronger than the Valspar but I have never seen it before. Has anyone...

    Sanding Runs In Clear Coat

So tonight I'm spraying the clear on my bike and I got a little excited put a run in it. How do I get it out? Also, does acrylic enamel protect the paint from rubbing off due to throttle cables rubbing when you turn the handle bars?

    Paint clear coat

Put three coats of spray paint on sanded frame. Looks very good. Should I hit it with some clear to make it really glossy and protect the paint. Any tips? Ps Rust oleum Chrysler Red is a direct match. 2 cans gave me great coverage over the sanded frame.

    see through clear engine??

When I was in high school if you wanted to take auto shop, first you had to take a small engine class to learn the fundamentals. We had about 20 motors (I can't remember if they were Briggs or Tecumseh) that we had to tear down, then reassemble and get running again. The coolest part of the...
