Assymetric Drive Pulley Sizing

#1
I was planning on using a TAV2 on my Gilson Restomod but it doesn't look like there is enough room with the jackshaft. My new plan is to buy a Comet 30 Series driver and driven pulleys and mount the driven pulley on the jackshaft. I see the driven pulley comes in 6" and 7" versions. Can anyone explain/confirm the difference between the 2 pulleys? I assume if I use the 7" driven it will give me better low end with the same top speed as a 6" driven. Is that correct?

no, you lose some top end with the 7" driven. that is the tradeoff between the two. you gain low end in exchange for giving up the supposed overdrive a 6" driven gets
