band brake drum for jackshaft

Looking for a band brake drum to use on my jackshaft. It needs to fit on a 5/8 keyed jackshaft. I can't seem to find one with this bore. If anyone has one or a source, let me know thanks

Power Tec, Benton Harbor, Mi. I believe it is 3 3/4 inch diameter. Not inexpensive, but works great. Used on Heald minibikes. 1-800-535-9529

I had the same problem so I bought one for 3/4 shaft and will make a bushing to go from 3/4 to 5/8....

Do they still offer the brake bands for the Heald bike? I know I can call, but, if any one knows?

When I was restoring my VT7 the drums were no longer available, so I had to do a little redneck engineering. I used a 5/8 clutch and welded it solid, then mounted it on my jackshaft. Worked awesome. Then you just use a 4" brake band.

thats what i did. had a hub and had a drum. just had o put them together

They do have a good selection, but all the hubs/drums are for 1" axles:doah:

I start with pulleys, and remove the sheaves...I'll make one for you if you want...

I'd be interested in one for my Hilltopper...just drill the 4 bolt holes and leave the other 4 solid on the inner piece?
