BRIGGS SCHROUD REPAIR, "Help"

What is the best way to get this metal piece off of the schroud, without messing it up?:hammer: I guess this engine came from a snow blower. Thanks

I used a sharp flat chisel and broke the spot welds. Clean it up with a flapper wheel. Might need slight hammer and dolly work to straighten any imperfections. Paint away!

Here ya go Buck. Tomorrow I'm going to replace all the carb gaskets. Never worked on a Briggs before but I have been doing alot of reading. The engine runs great, but gas leaks from the tank gasket.:doah:

Then I am going to clean and paint.:thumbsup:

Fixed the dents with some bondo, not to bad. Probably could of been a bit smoother. I start to lose patience. I just had to get some paint on the motor. Looking better but still needs some work.:grind:
