Fastest Stock Mini (late '60s - early '70s)

Speedway claimed their 1971 Silver Shadow was the world's fastest stock mini at the time. Is this fairly true? If not, what was or came close?

Not sure but I would think anything with a 820 it is a quite fast little engine, as much as I like Bonanzas and the gear box is a real plus but a screamer on the top end might take it.

I have seen a couple of threads on here before showing the Bonanza BC-1300S 0-50 times, but I would like to see somebody post some original tests of the other quick ones. I would also think the 820 AC's would be up there Jeff.

Well it was a 2 stroke shifter bike with 10inch wheels and arrow package so in stock form it should have been faster than the Hodaka powered Bonanza's and any other smaller wheeled mini's of the day:thumbsup:
