I'm in the process of building up my first mini
I'm kind of a freak for details.
the front end seems to have too much play in it for my likings.
if i tighten up the bolt it don't steer, but if let loose it has way too much slop.
the down tubes are not wallowed out, it is just a poor design.

so with that said, that have you guys done to solve this problem?
I'm thinking of either making up some brass sleeves, or building a bmx style bearing cups.

post up some ideas or pics

What kind of mini is it??? Alot of the old minis like LiL Indians, Trailhorses, etc. used a brass bushing to take up the slack. Rupps, Harrisons, etc used bearings. You can find them on the OldMiniBikes Warehouse site.

If you have the capability, it's a no brainer. BEARINGS. Now, if you have replaceable bushings, just replace 'em. If you're gonna go anywhere past 40-45mph (if that), or so...go with bearings. Good luck.

Bearings recomended above 45mph??? Do you plan on turning at higher speeds?:lol::lol::lol:

Trust me there slick....they call it a tank slapper. If you don't no anything about it, which I now see that you don't, then don't comment. You make yourself look like a fool.

Oh, you were just joking. My bad. You do agree then. Sorry.
You can't take everything on here so serious...cause if you do then it's boring. I think he is just building a cruiser anyways..but I like bearings in higher speeds if possible also. But I also restore more older bikes..which bushings are the way to go to make them original. :innocent:

Actually..being serious..the 15.4 is pretty much the same motor on my girlfriends bike. I like that she is slower than me...lol.:lol::lol::lol::lol:
Cool, you got all the power. Why even post on my for sale ads? LOL. Like I said...joking, of course.
