hello,
new to mini bike stuff and I have a question. one of many I am sure.

I am restoring some 6 inch old cast wheels. they are 2 piece design with the cast portion in the middle.

I am looking for the acorn nuts that hold them together.

one side of the nut has a small threded part like a botl and the other side is a standard acorn nut.

Where can I purchse these new ?

I went to Tractor Supply and bought regular grade 8 nut/bolts that were the same size as the rim holes when I redid my Manco wheels

Are these Rupp turbine wheels, You should be able to go to a good hardware store and find them in with the fine threaded nuts and bolts I can not remember the size thread off hand, but there like a number 8#-** or 10#-** thread size. and i have found the acorns nut for them also. Lowes has a good selection also. You may have to do some shorten of the bolt or cut off what threaded length you need and use two acorn nuts to make the fasteners.

thats what i did. Those damn chrome acorn nuts were like 60cents a piece!

Not sure, but it sounds to me like he is talking about some dual thread lug nut. I have seen them.
