Help!!! Predator engine takes off when I switch it to run??!!

I've adjusted the idle screw and it helps a little but not enough. When I switch from start to run the back tire starts spinning fast and engine powers up without even twisting the throttle. What's up???

What have you done to the linkage?

I haven't done anything to the linkage. It's how it came from factory. All I did was install throttle cable.

It may be too tight not allowing the butterfly to operate right.
You have any photos?

Loosen the screw on the throttle arm so return spring closes throttle. I usually add another spring as well.

Yep, like ole said loosen the pivot nut on the linkage ( In the Center ) so it moves back and forth ...freely.

First... Take off the chain... That way it wont run away from you when testing...Make sure the pivot nut is loose. They are tightened at the factory. Then start and adjust. If it is revving up.take the throttle cable off and re adjust it. If the cable is off at the carburetor and it is revving up then there is a linkage issue or the idle is set too high. If it still does it...take pics and post.
