That's a survivor....motor looks original with that tank and dipstick tube....still has the white throttle cable on it too.

I thought that you were just kidding us about that being the original engine. I thought at first with that dipstick it's clearly a snow blower engine . Here is an original ad that proves that you're right. I grew up in the hay day of mini bikes and don't remember ever seeing that style dipstick used on a mini bike.

I can't thank Trailhopper enough for the decals he sent for my Golden Pinto. I was going to do a full restoration, but may have to keep it as a survivor.

Leave it as a survivor . Only original once .:thumbsup: We need someone to repop these chainguards . Seems like every Bird Mfg. bike I find is missing the chain guard . I know they made a few different ones , but the Golden Pinto design of metal ones would be very desireable .

The Golden pinto shows a foot op scrub brake....but whats the lever on the left handle bar for?

They also came with a band brake around the clutch.
