Mig welding a frame with engine in Q?

Can you mig weld on a mini bike frame with a hf predator engine mounted in it and not burn up the electronic ignition?

I did a Datsun 620 p up drum to disc with lots of welding & burn up that ignition!

dont be lasy. just pull the engine and problem solved.

Stand under correction - but it only really causes problems with circuits that have a battery in. Was always told to remove the earth lead from a car when welding it.:shrug:

Remember you have fuel lines and tanks on the motor - saftey first.

But I have to tack weld the mc foot pegs bar & foot brake pivot with engine in place.

Plus the engine has been in & out so many times already....

There should be no issue leaving the engine on the bike while welding on the frame.

I do it and have never had a problem.
