Murray Track 2 may need clutch

I bought a Murray Track 2 on CL for my daughter. Been sitting for awhile so cleaned the carb, new spark plug and got it running and good idle. It seems to be sluggish on take off and takes a bit to get some speed. Maybe it needs a new clutch? I pulled the side cover off and it has a weird looking clutch. None like I seen before. It's different looking from all the replacement clutches I been viewing on line. I has been many years since I toyed with mini bikes but I don't remember the chain being so heavy duty looking for a MB. Can anyone advise where I can get a replacement clutch for it? This MB appears all original with a 3.5 Tecumseh engine.

The chain is 40/41 much more heavy duty. Do you have a pic of the clutch.

The chain says KMC 40. Here is a pic of the clutch.

Murray model is MT350101X92A the Tecumseh engine is H35-45776Y. I did a search for it and was unable to find a replacement clutch.

Wow...thats a old 2 disc clutch of some sort...maybe it was a racing clutch at one time. You would be better off with a new Max Torque shoe type clutch.

Be sure you count the teeth on the clutch sprocket its probably a 12 tooth driver tho.

very cool clutch !! looks vortex style . probablly slugish because of stall . i would take it apart clean it and see if there was spring adjustment for less rpm engagement :thumbsup:
