Torque converter mounting

I have a 8hp Briggs from a snowblower I'd like to use for a project I'm working on. The motor case does not have mounting hole bosses cast in it to mount the torque converter. Anyone see a problem with drilling and lock nutting the bolts thru the case? I'm hoping there is clearance inside

Sounds like you need to get a motor mount with JS plate. Check bmi or OldMiniBikes.
I made one my self. Will post pics later.

I would say thats a bad idea. those covers dont have the reinforcement that the drilled covers have. and with 8hp thats not going to last long

Any idea where I can buy a drilled cover?

FYI the number on the fan shroud is 190402-0992-02-78092812 if that matters.
