Want to remove kill wire and use tab on top of sparkplug to stop engine.
Wire comes under points cover from coil.

I picked up a 1988 H60 for next to nothing yesterday. Tore it down to assess the damage (a lot!). Will need to be bored and needs a new crank. Must be something about big blocks, because this is the second one I've picked up with the governor spool in pieces. Piston rod broken into little pieces...
Here's my second question for today. How would I wire a kill switch to a Tecumseh non-points ignition? I'd like to get the toggle switch that is on my frame working. I found plenty of info for the old points ignition setup but nothing for the newer ignitions. Thanks again.

I'm redoing the ignition on an HS40 55388C for a Rupp Roadster; thorough cleaning, new coil, points, condenser. The head of the screw holding the points in is shot. I don't see one in the parts list for this engine...

I had planned on a TAV and a pred 212 satge 1 or 2 or a pred 301 replacement on said bike. Does this bike have a charging coil on the original engine? And has anyone done the swap and kept light working?
