i was removing the stock kill switch and i accidently pulled the wire out of the black enclosure...it wasn't crimped very well...... i need to hook up my handlebar kill switch to my new motor and i know one side goes to ground and the other one(black with white stripe) goes to what...
I have a 5hp briggs with no kill switch. It had at one time the little lever on top of the head to touch the spark plug but that is missing. the coil just has the spark plug wire no wire to atacth a kill switch. Any thing that I could do?
I got my buddy's small Toro snowblower running but i cant get the kill switch to work.
I got another switch that wasnt a direct replacement so i spliced it into the existing lines.
That didnt work either. So i took the ground wire and touched it directly to the wire that runs behind the shroud...
I am done with my clone install and I am wondering what wires to hookup to the kill switch on the handlebar. Is it the two wires coming from the switch on the engine, just splice them up? One ground and the other one.
I like using momentary kill switches since I have forgotten to flip the switch "on" in the past. Also I DO NOT like wires showing so this is how I like to do it and the switch is right where your hand dangles naturally when sitting on the bike.
The switch and/or recoil cover can be removed...
