No offense. I am sure they are good riding minis. But I am an old dude and am partial to the classics and tired of seeing them on CL every time you search for minibikes.

We have one and it's very durable, easy to work on and fun to ride. I like the classics too, but I'm 6'3 220 lbs.

If I get a classic it's gonna be my old Dart Ridge Runner, I fit on that just fine.

I had mine at Windber and beat the hell out of it. In fact I had several bikes there and it by far performs the best. Ask Manchester for a second opinion. Anyway I like it so much I bought a second as a backup and just got back from looking at a 3rd which was a POS so I passed. I was a little annoyed because the guy wanted $200. All I asked was it in excellent shape. I didn't care that it needed a clutch. Well I got there and it was trashed. Bald back tire,no tank,no footpegs,no chain guard, seat was broken so it was just sitting on top. I was like duse I asked if it was in good condition and he said. Well its in good condition to me. I said your gonna spend more fixing it than it is worth. Even the gear reduction was junk. Which I didn't care about. But still. When someone asks a simple question. Don't bullshitt.... I didn't need it anyway. But I would buy more at $200... I will always find the older stuff but I wanted something comfortable for me to ride. :scooter:

You rode the crap out of that thing.

I was never so happy to see a duct taped light coming my way as I pulled into the Windber driveway, that wasn't a driveway, and ol Gumpit on his Baja there for a personal escort.

It's a love hate thing for me with Baja bikes, they allow for guilt free modifications but you find their weaknesses pretty quickly. Flexing engine plates on the DBs and jackshaft tensioner and gearing issues on the Warrior/Heat bikes but both are easy fixes and they can be formidable machines once dialed in. I am always baffled to see a DB with a stock engine still running since my kids have ridden two completely to death but these kids ride em like they stole em, one was new and one low hour and both died after a marathon riding session puking oil and losing all power. The Warrior/Heat bike engines are far better, I've only had two of the bigger bikes and like the way they ride. I see them from $50 to $500 used, they are good entry level bikes but you gotta get em cheap.

I've looked at them several times but never bought one.

I don't like the look of them or the seating position.

Now I wouldn't turn down the one that had rear suspension if I ever found one cheap.

You've looked but you got to ride....... The seat is actually very comfortable.
