Im a retired machinist, 28 yrs. for a tool co, 7 yrs. for Ford Motor Company, got out last Aug, not by my choice but what the hey, I did what I had to do. Look's like there is a vast amount of knowledge here, and members from many different walks of life, seems like a very well balanced forum. Im into some serious hotroding, mowing the grass every now and then, doing a few honeydo's to keep me out of the dog house, did I mention I've got a machine shop at home, turn a few $ just for gas and beer money.
Anyway, now Im on this minibike kick, fixed one up for my son when he was younger, so I guess Im kinda hooked. Better quit ramblin here, we'll talk later.

I work for a large printing company. Recently changed jobs from collator operator to maintenance. Every aspect of maintenance, electronic, hydraulics, mechanical, machinist work, parts design and fabrication, welding, equipment modifications, and coffee drinking. My favorite part of this job is the slow days, which I spend making minibike parts.

Worked in the auto dealership business for 13 years. Last three for my own dealership selling, restoring and messing with classic muscle cars. I love anything with wheels, propellers or an engine. Self employed.

My turn I guess......
Although after reading all of your replies I feel like the guy at the bottom of the totem pole.

I got my first job blowing up balloons for Disneyland, so they could just bulk release them into the atmosphere. I then started working for Disneyland's warehouse as a Receiving Clerk which lasted ten years. I fiddled around semi-retired after that at 35 years old, then went to work for Borg Warner Auto Parts Division(warehouse again of course) which lasted 19 years until the parent company Dana Corp moved my job from California to Utah, then Dana Corp almost immediately filed Chapter 11 bankruptcy(I guess they couldn't do without me).
I swore off punching a time clock after I left Borg Warner in 2000, and have been selling Minibike,Kart, and similar items that I've collected over the years, at local swapmeets and on eBay to stay ahead of the bill collector.
I Just can't seem to find the time anymore to use my imagination and build funtoys like I have on my webpages at:
The Gokart Guy Web Page
Gokartguy5 Web Page
MrMinibike Web Page

I have a garage full of tools I don't know how to use, but from time to time I tinker around and get something to work.

A buddy of mine and I bought an automotive repair business a little over a year ago, so now I get to work 70 hours a week for what I made at the dealership in 40 hours :)
