what do you basically need to mount a front brake on the doodlebug? a rear wheel, a brake disc, a caliper, and a bracket correct? maybe I'm missing something let me know

Has anyone installed front brakes on a Baja warrior ? I've been thinking about trying to use a disc from a doodle bug or a motovox any ideas or help would be appreciated.

How many use friction brakes or drum brakes? Do any of you use a MAP gas torch to heat metal and if so will it get cherry red? Thanks

Is there a company that can refurbish the shoes with new linings for a reasonable amount or is it just better to buy new shoes? Seems like they are not real easy to come by new and are rather pricey. Thanks

Not sure of the terminology, but am looking for the actuating arm that slides over the splined shaft on an old 5" bendix drum brake. AZUSA makes a replica 6" brake that looks like it has the correct actuating arm but they don't appear to sell this part separately. See photo.
