Hello everyone. I have this vintage Briggs and Stratton 3hp engine that I am restoring. I replaced the old breaker points ignition coil, to the modern electronic magneto coil. After I did that, it started right up and ran perfectly. From there, I removed the carb and gas tank, so I could repaint...
Hello all, I have a Briggs Intek 206 and I wanted to add a billet flywheel and con rod to it so I can safely remove the governor. Problem is, its box stock and I don't know what rod and flywheel to get. If anyone knows what length to get Id be stoked. Thanks!
There's a listing on craigslist listing for a 5hp briggs and stratton and it looks decent the guy said $60 and its mine it starts on starter fluid he said but then dies so its probably a carb issue. Is this a good price and will it be a cheap fix?

Finally got the new Carburetor on and couldn't get the throttle response I wanted.
Then I realized I forgot a crucial element to the issue.
I replaced the fuel tank!!!
I needed to adjust the govern spring where it connects to the throttle.

:001_tt2:Found this sweet little hydro kart on Craigslist somewhat near me! I just couldn't pass it up! This thing is too neat! It has I'm told a 6.5 hp Briggs in it. Told me they came with 2 strokes and this is a replacement. It needs a throttle hooked up and a hood made for the...
I'm trying to restart my Skat Kitty project.
Have one issue though...
The B&S-engine I've found has a Diaphragm carburator and I want to convert it to a "draft-carb". Since I want to use existing fuel tank on the Skat.
Does anyone have any experience of such a conversion? Is it...

My friend Scottessey hooked me up with a Cal Kart Invader frame and a Briggs & Stratton 4 cycle 5 HP I/C series engine.
I was wondering if anyone could refer me to a rebuild kit for the engine and or any other components i may need to get started up.
This is my first...
My guy just bought these for me down in California while selling at a big swap meet (I luv my man!). He just sent me these pictures today via cellphone and he can't find any make tags on them anywhere, nor did the guy he got them from know much about them.
They seem to be the same maker but...
Clutch is shot.
My son has driven my old Rambler consistently since we refurbished the engine. The Briggs and Stratton 3hp has a cintrifugal clutch that has just 5/8 inch shaft and 11 teeth it has a key way and two set screws.
Question: Where can I order a good replacement online...
i've got to thinking about building a bike with two meth burning briggs engines, with the clutch, is there a special sprocket for engine #2? say if one engine is running more rpm than the other, will it be pulling? something where if the front engine is pulling, it has like a ratcheting effect...

I put a 3.5hp briggs from an edger on my doodlebug. I attached the bike's throttle cable to the same little arm that the edger throttle was attaced to, but I think I'm doing something wrong. This pic is as good as I could take with my phone. I think my carb is like the one in this thread...
