Anyone have a Speedometer/Tachometer solution for minibikes that they've implemented? Ive got some motors that have the governors removed and though it would be a good idea to atlease install a Tachometer to know when im reaching the RPM threshold (besides the usual way of finding out )
Hello! I have found many digital tachometers to fit my minibike, one wire going to ground, the other to the ignition wire, but I would like to figure out how to add an analog one so it looks a bit nicer. Anyone have any insight? Im a bit of a noob but its going on a baja doodlebug with a...
I am looking for a vintage VDO 60 MPH speedometer with a 1.85 diameter body and 2.050" bezel ring that fits Rupp Roadster2 headlight bucket like the one pictured.
Thanks

We have an inoperative speedometer on our VT-8. There is no (obvious) visible damage and everything "appears" to be connected, however, the cylindrical geared assembly that slides unto the front axle has a protruding "lever" that I suspect must somehow be secured to the wheel hub and goes around...
I am trying to get a speedo to work on my second bike project, but I am finding that the gear wants to go around with the wheel, breaking the cable. If I loosen the axle it stays in place better, but then the wheel is wobbly. Any advice on properly mounting and securing the speedometer gear...
Since I can't find a decent Roadster 2 headlight bucket/bezel I am thinking about the headlight bucket that I've seen with a speedometer opening in the top. Anyone have one of those?

I have a cable on my rupp which is too long. I took the flanged end off and cut the cable and housing. it seems that if a lot of pressure isn't used to form it the will fray apart.....
