Hey I have a Baja warrior minibike and I was wondering I'd I took off the performance air filter and just left the adapter on would it increase power and could I damage my engine? I've seen something like this be done to drag minibikes on YouTube.

Tillostesen HL368 carb, intake manifold and aluminum velocity stack. Carb is mostly dissembled but hardware and components are all bagged up. $40 shipped.

It seems everyone mostly gets the biggest valve biggest port head they can....but don't you lose velocity at lower lift numbers ...which unless your operating at wide open high rpm most of the time you'd be better off with smaller valves and a smaller port that's ported well instead of huge...

Can someone explain the purpose or advantages of a velocity stack. I built up a 5hp briggs and bought a filter adapter and a small pod air filter but it is still to tall to fit under the frame and was think a velocity stack may be a solution. Thanks in advance.
