Just got a new db30 and I want fooling around and took the middle nut of the caliper and there is a wound spring in there that came out. Is this hard to get back it? It seems to fit into a small needle sized hole.

Does anyone have a good technique for bending a starter recoil spring? Just as I was going to put it on, it broke on one end. I need to know if I have to temper the steel, does heat help, will it stay in shape, etc.? Thanks.

While I have my springs out of my briggs, should I upgrade the springs to dual ones? There is a set on ebay that looks pretty nice and is cheap. I might be going with a small cam if that helps.
