Thanks for the compliments, cbroward!

I made the carb adapter out of a 90* bend and some 1/4" plate for the flange. Then I used some radiator hose to run up to another piece tubing that I used to mate it to the filter. Just a cheap and easy way to do it, nothing special. Here are a few more pics that I have uploaded, if you want some better pics just let me know, I hope to get some better pics in the next day or two.
