I need to start at the front axle mount and then make the Caliper brackets.

Then get some plate for the engine mount and get it slotted for the engine adjustment. Tubing for the frame and Aluminum or stainless for the spoiler.

I've been bending the shorter brace bars, for up front before the engine.

Still need foam for the seat too.

I did a little better on this engine than I hopped for.

I got a K4402AS single carb engine, I'll guess out of a Skiroule Snowmobile.

I also got a 1976 Merc Trail Twister 440 complete sled. K4402AS twin carb.

Two sets of pipes to choose from for the project.

Two Skiroule muffler pipes and two Rupp Nitro pipes. ( Expansion Chamber Stingers )
Which ever works better to the frame and set up, I'll use.

I'm hopping the Stingers work out.

I should just keep it all in the sled, LOL

Remember to jet the carb (carbs) to whatever pipes you use or you could seize the engine. Reading spark plugs is really important with a 2 stroke.

Weather here last 4 days has been crap.

Checked the Pipes with the engine just on the ground, the stingers are going to work out. Just need to cut the ends off an re-angel them. They will be super loud, so I will be putting some snuffers on the ends ( spark arresters ) to quiet it down a bit, LOL

Once I have a running engine to try each set of pipes, an see how they sound.
I'll make up my mind then, on which set to use.

Did some checking on the single carb engine I just got.
Crank seal is gone, so I checked deeper , crank bearing is gone too, on the pto end. So I'm going to tear down the bottom-end and see if that's all?
I'm hoping its just the one bearing.

Other engine / sled will be here Monday.

It would seem I now have another Snowmobile, Still gotta look at it, change fuel & start it up.

Once it is running, I'll do a few vids of exhaust noise, your gonna love this, lol

1st vid, OE exhaust, vid 2 Stinger exhaust, vid 3 Stinger with Snuffers,
4th vid With mufflers.

Gonna be fun, hahaha

Holy cow man ! Fuel STINKS to high heaven, its so OLD it will not catch fire with my lighter.
I poured it out into my burn pit and had to light it with my pluming torch, LOL

Had to clean the carbs, the floats were stuck, 1 choke was stuck, jets were plugged and fuel lines are hard as a rock.

Gauge Fuel cap rusted out, shall I go on, lol - - It will need new carb boots as well, they are both ripped.

I did get it running today but, not a 100% . Only ran if the choke was on.

So the fuel injector cleaner I put in the fuel will do its job while it sits.
