Unique Coleman 2.40 Sport Mini Bike, 1971 time frame. It was restored as a joint project by my late father, Jim Hosking, with Jeff Mihalko at Restoration Specialties.
From info provided to me by Jeff: The prototype bike was originally purchased from the builder who worked at the Coleman plant...
Hi all.
Hi all.
Had a '69 TT500 back in 1982 when I lived in NJ. It went into storage under a pool cabana and was forgotten. The property is still owned by family, but I was told the bike had long since been disposed of.
On a vacation out there last year, I looked under the cabana and lo and...
Got this bike as just a frame with the other 2 arco choppers I bought and I'm chopping this one up so a full size adult can fit on it. Plans are stretching it 5 inches. Get rid of the sparkle banana seat since it hurts my ass. New foot pegs, engine plate, swing arm and shock mounts.
The forks...
Hi folks new here but not new to tinkering. Have really enjoyed looking at what everyone is doing and I'm fully aware what i will be doing is considered a crime by many.
I picked this up to restore but quickly found out it far too expensive to properly restore, so its going to be a resto-mod...
Delray was kind enough to offer me another Gilson, this time a Trail Bike, while we were at Windber. Brian said the forks were a little rusted but otherwise pretty much there. This bike has the rear fender mount, original gas tank, engine chain tensioner and most importantly, a complete brake...
I would like to learn what members have done to restore yellowed plastic tanks. I'm doing a full resto on the 2.5 HP Tecumseh for my 1971 Allied Leisure Mini Mate. The tank was originally white to match the engine paint.
Hello everyone! I'm new to the site and wanted to share my project with y'all. I picked this up at my local body shop where my wife's car was getting repaired, 1971 rupp bandit $100 complete:) I've already disassembled and started to get it ready for paint.
Hi everyone!! I'd like thank you for the warm welcome to your sick site:) just picked up my first mini bike since I was a kid a long long time ago. Thought I'd share my resto with y'all. I have all the parts new and original. Let's begin.
All,
I know its not technically a mini bike but I thought I would share some pics of my 81' Honda C-70. Mod's include ditching the stock turn signals and installing OEM early model C7-70 turn signals. I cut off the rear turn signal posts and welded the holes up then had the tail light...
Hi , thanks for the welcome in the intro forum. Here is my first mini project. I was told it was a cat 250. The foot peg does not look original , but I don't know much other than what I learned here in the last few days. The head has a stamp of 8 d , but the decals look old and say 2 hp. I would...
Hey all,
I have taken up the brutal task of rebuilding this 1973 3HP Briggs. The amount of dirt on this thing is ridiculous! The valve cover was barely visible when I got it. All but one of the recoil starter tabs are snapped off. This old girl was painted in house paint at one stage!
Luckily...

Hey guys.
A friend of mine from work just recently dug up (literally ) the 1970 Honda trail 70 he had as a kid. It was stored in the (dirt floor) shed at his folks house for MANY, MANY, years. He wants to do a full restore but wanted to see if it will or can run first. I know nothing about...
